Event Information: ABC Thursdays. A is for Animal, B is for Book, C is for Craft! This multi-sensory way of learning is set to engage young children & build their knowledge of the natural world more & more each week! Irish Wildlife Trust (IWT) – Longford

Where: National Animal Centre, Derrglogher, Keenagh.

Event Information: As part of the National Reptile Survey the Irish Wildlife Trust is running a Surveyor Training Workshop for volunteer reptile surveyors in the Longford. The IWT are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help survey Ireland’s reptiles this spring and summer. If you would like to get involved as an IWT citizen scientist then come along to this informative workshop to learn all about Ireland’s reptiles and how to look for them.

The workshop will consist of a morning session on Irish lizard identification & surveying, followed by an outdoor site visit to run through some reptile surveying techniques. This is a great opportunity to learn more about Ireland’s reptiles while helping protect your wildlife.

Booking is essential for this workshops as spaces are limited. Workshops are free of charge for IWT members and cost €5 for non members.
